Summer Neutrals in LA

I’ll admit it. I wasn’t exactly first on the culottes train. Like so many of us, I was a little unsure of how it would flatter, what shoes to choose, etc. but I’m here to say it’s not as scary as it seems. And they are the perfect chic option for summer! 


Ever since I first laid eyes on this sweater style top while shopping at Madewell, I knew it had to be mine. I love it so much I bought it in two colors! That’s big for me. I’ve been raving about Madewell’s new arrivals all over Snapchat (user: DevonRachel1) and you just need to get over there (online and instore) because it’s too good not to. Trust me.


I wanted to keep this look neutral for meetings but wanted a fun/cool vibe for happy hour after, so I decided to go with this chic long light coat that easily slides off the shoulder. 😉

With a major variety of fabrics and styles of culottes to choose from (I love this, this and this), finding a flattering fit simply requires trying them on. Head over to your nearest Madewell and do yourself a favor: try on a pair!

When you’re looking for shoes, I’d go with a slider sandal like I’m wearing here, a fun platform sandal (or not sandal), or cool trainers.
