Our Weekend Getaway

October and this first week of November were a crazy travel time for me. After spending nearly two weeks away from Chandler, I was majorly anxious to get back to Texas. I returned from Florida on Friday (more on that soon) and we woke up Saturday morning with an itch to hit the road. We decided to take a road trip to New Mexico (the closest mountains to us) and spend some much needed relaxing time. Chandler and I are so weird and silly and we have such a good time together, so naturally I was in. Plus, take a look at the amazing view!

I wore this outfit as we shopped around in the cold weather (yay!). Later on after shopping in the lovely cold, we went to an extremely yummy dinner at Michael J’s. Obviously we had to hit the casino! When in Rome, right? I’m not the biggest gambler in the world, but I do love a good slot machine and I love to learn other games. Let’s just say I won’t be selling out on those slots for a while. I’m embarrassed how fast I lost money! Haha! We did have a great time in the process, though.
About this outfit… it was pretty cold and windy out there! Perfect time to layer, which is practically my favorite pastime. I have to say that I’m so glad I bought this menswear inspired white tunic shirt. I have been experimenting with many different basics to determine which is the most logical to invest in, and I’ll say a white shirt is one of them. There are so many ways to layer and change up your look with a blank canvas. Just saying!
