At Home: Living Room Update

Happy Hump Day (tomorrow is my Birthday!! Big 25)! I’m excited for a new home post today — I have been meaning to show you the newer set up in our LA apartment living room! I moved things around and I’m about to do it again, so let’s chat about it!

I switched the side table from the left to right of the couch, next to my West Elm lamp. I did this because Chandler and I started moving things around one weekend without realizing the domino effect it would cause. I had to restyle and move so many things around! I needed a place for my West Elm Tray that has been so many different things: a bar cart, a vanity, and a buffet.

I decided to set up the tray on the left side of my sofa to balance things a little. 

I go back and forth with pillow ideas in here. I definitely want to mix things up and keep it more neutral in the future. I’ll be looking for pillows etc. that let the sofa + rug do all the talking. 
Also notice my new rug from Lulu & Georgia! I absolutely fell in love with the pattern and had to have it. The colors work so well in this apartment, but I can also envision the many other ways I can make it work in the future. And that’s something I look for in a piece. I always gush about my love for L&G – check out their store. It’s great!
  

I eventually want to make the transition into less clutter, keeping pops of color the sofa + rug only and making things a little more grown up. A little! This has been my girly haven and it makes me smile. I hope it makes you smile, too!
