Birthday Fun!

You say it’s your birthday! It’s my birthday, too, yeah! Woohoo! We gonna party like it’s my birthday!
Yep, it’s my birthday and I’m turning the big 2-5! I feel like 25 is a little milestone birthday, so I thought I would share a few funny stories/traditions from birthdays past and things you may not know about me. Oh, and this outfit that I wore a while back and love!

You might not know one fact about me: my absolute favorite band of all time is The Beatles. I grew up listening to them with my Dad and they have honestly been such a big part of my childhood. Right down to the birthday song my parents played myself and my brother every year at 5-6am on our birthday. But this birthday song by The Beatles was a cover. A cover by none other than the Looney Tunes characters. I know, it’s so weird! Chandler thinks it’s so weird funny to this day but I love it. The song is pretty funny! My parents still call me every morning on my birthday with the song.

Fun fact: I once had a birthday cake (made by my Mom) complete with each of my friends in a sleeping bag on top. It was pretty awesome.

Fun Fact: I went to my very first concert on my 6th birthday. All I wanted for my birthday was to see Reba McEntire sing, so my parents took me. Haha!

I hope you enjoyed reading some silly birthday facts! Now about this outfit. I have been wearing my nikes out around town more and more lately. I’m really loving the mix of adding a sporty shoe to a more dressed up look. This is more on the casual side, but I will be wearing my Nikes and New Balances with skirts and leather pants in no time.

  8. First, you look adorable! Happy Birthday! I loved this post! I also grew up listening to the Beatles and they are my fav! I love George 🙂 But, so funny my Dad used to play us the Birthday song (on vinyl of course) for us on our birthday to wake us up before school!

  13. Happy Birthday! Funny enough, we have the same tradition in my family. Every year my mom calls me to sing the birthday song from the beetles. It started in 5th grade, the year I started at a new school and has continued ever since. =) ps. I have a milestone birthday come up in a few weeks too.. the big 3-0!!!
